 Fastest to always go: from Bangkok with Samui (approximately 1h10).

Bangkok Airways is the only company of aviation going on the island. There is a score of flights per day between Samui and Bangkok. The one-way ticket costs approximately 3 500 bahts.

During the flight, you will have any leisure to observe the archipelago of islands which surround Samui, as well as the Giant Buddha (12 meters in height) in the north of the island.

 It is  the perfect occasion to discover the splendid landscapes of Thailand, and to attend of it the population, the country of the smile.

2 types of train (fast and express train)  :

The 1st class offers places to air-conditioned berths.

 

The 2e class proposes air-conditioned places or berths with ventilators.

 

The 3e class, less comfortable and inexpensive, is the best means of mixing with the local population.

 

The express train of night

 Reste method fast and easy to go to the desired place. The Restaurant cars being are useful there of the Thai and Western meals. It will be also easy to get drinks and food by the means of the salesmen getting into the train with each halt.

In bus

The buses forward by Surat Thani, embark in a ferry and deposit you in Nathon, capital of Koh Samui. From there, you will be able to move in the taxi or another means of transport, in direction of the selected village.

Here various types of bus moving towards Samui:

departure of Seatran Ferry at the beginning of Surat Thani. The catamaran and the express train recoivent pedestrians and drunk, the way varies between 2h and 3h according to the boat you will have chosen.

departure of Surat Thani : the express train is to be disadvised for those which want to slacken, it tosses much and splashes the bridge. Only few Thai there will be met. On the other hand, you will meet routards having bought their ticket with Kao San Road!
